Iowa Women's Art Exhibition
The Iowa Women's Art Exhibition celebrates female artists and their contributions to the cultural vitality and quality of life in Iowa. The program includes two semi-annual exhibits each year in the Governor’s office at the Iowa Capitol and selected artists receive an award.
The artist Lee Emma Running recently designed and installed her project for the ongoing Iowa Women’s Art Exhibition. The series usually features paintings or prints on easels, so the eye-popping orchid is a departure — the first artwork designed specifically for the governor’s office, where it will remain through the end of June.
This exhibit program is a partnership between the Office of the Governor of Iowa and the Iowa Arts Council.
