The largest in the ecosystem of the second-level Optimism NFT solution, the Quixotic marketplace, became a victim of a hacker attack after the update.
The attacker attacked the Offer function — offers of collectible tokens. He deployed a malicious contract and stole cryptocurrency totaling ~$100,000 in various ERC-20 tokens.
The Quixotic team fixed the vulnerability, but suspended all operations on the platform.
According to the statement, the NFT remained safe. All stolen funds are compensated to users automatically, no action is required from them.
Recall that as a result of the actions of hackers and scammers in the first quarter of 2022, crypto projects lost more than $ 1.22 billion.
The largest incidents were the Wormhole and Ronin exploits with damage of $319 million and $625 million, respectively.
After the March hack, the Ronin sidechain involved in the Axie Infinity game was restarted by the developers only at the end of June.
